FAQ
Why do you need a" Agent of Service of Processor"?
States require by statute any Corporation, LLC, LLP and Non-Profit to have a location were State notifications, legal documents, court summons and subpoenas concerning your Corporation can be delivered to during normal business hours (approx. 9am - 5pm).  A live physical person must be available to accept all State and legal summons on behalf of your corporation at a known legal address registered with the state.   An Agent of Service of Processor is required by the state regulatory code if you work remotely, are a home based business or in the field and are unable to be in your office during normal business hours. This state regulatory Code was set up to protect the general public and consumer.

How long does it take to set-up my Agent of Service of Process information?
Once you fill out the online form and sign up for the resident agent service the software will automatically find an active agent for you.  It is that quick & simple.

Should I incorporate my business before I find a agent of service of process for my corporation?
No, the Secretary of State will require you to know the Agent of Service of Process information before you incorporate.

When can I incoropate?
Once you have received  your agent of service of process information you can file to incorporate immediately online.  It may take several day to several weeks for the
Secretary of State to fully process your corporation filing depending how many orders they received (work load) and if you want to pay extra for  "expedited" handling.

Can I use the "resident agents" office as my general mailing address or P.O. box for all my day to day business mail?
No, it can only be used for state notifications, legal notifications and court summons.
